A best practice for nominating SPE members for awards is to form a nomination posse—a committee of 4 to 5 people that works to match candidates with the awards that best suits them. Providing respect and recognition for your colleagues is a wonderful way to find purpose in your own career.

The Management Technical Section has been selected to receive the 2024 Presidential Award for Outstanding Technical Section, and the Data Science and Engineering Analytics and Hydraulic Fracturing Technical Sections have been awarded the Technical Section Excellence Award for 2024.

A special Legends of Artificial Lift Luncheon on 20 August at the SPE Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition celebrated six individuals for their outstanding contributions to the technical knowledge in this field: Ali Hernandez, Louis Ray, Francisco Alhanati, James Hall, Lawrence Camilleri, and Toby Pugh.
