Tan Ek Kia will take over as chairman of the board of directors of KrisEnergy. Tan joined the company’s board as a nonexecutive independent director in January 2013 and has more than 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined Shell in 1973 and worked in various positions in the company’s upstream oil and gas and petrochemical businesses, including a sting as managing director of Shell Malaysia.
