Six SPE geographical sections across the world have won the 2026 Presidential Award for Outstanding Section. The award recognizes sections whose programs and activities distinguish them from other sections and recognizes up to the highest-ranked 10% of eligible sections that are exemplary in the scoring categories. Recipients of this award were first recognized with the 2026 Regional Outstanding Section Award within their super region. They advanced to judging for the Presidential Award and are now honored as a top section in all of SPE.
The winning sections will be recognized during the President's Luncheon at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in October in Houston.
The list includes the application category (Community Involvement, Technical Dissemination and Professional Development, and Student Support) as well as size (small, medium, and large).

SPE geographical sections are located around the world and provide an operating framework for the Society's major activities. Sections are semi-autonomous and self-governing within the framework of SPE policies.
