Robert K. Perrons

Robert K. Perrons, SPE, is the CEO of EMSat.com, a global leader in satellite-based methane monitoring services. He is also a professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. Earlier in his career, Perrons worked in a variety of roles around the world for Shell International’s exploration and production division, and served as the company’s executive coordinator of global R&D. He holds a bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical engineering from McMaster University, a master’s degree in technology and policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a PhD degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar. Perrons was also a Fulbright Scholar, and is a member of the UN’s Resources and Energy Expert Group.
