SPE Technical Sections Recognized With 2026 Outstanding Technical Section Awards

The Asset Management Technical Section has been selected to receive the 2026 Presidential Award for Outstanding Technical Section. The Integrated Reservoir Management and Data Science and Engineering Analytics technical sections have been awarded the 2026 Technical Section Excellence Award.

SPE is excited to announce that the Asset Management Technical Section has been selected to receive the 2026 Presidential Award for Outstanding Technical Section, the highest honor recognizing SPE’s technical sections.

This technical section should take great pride in the many exceptional accomplishments achieved over the past year. Thank you for your continued dedication to advancing SPE’s mission and serving its members.

The Presidential Award for Outstanding Technical Section recipient will be honored during the President’s Luncheon on Friday, 23 October, during the 2026 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Houston.

SPE is also pleased to announce that the Integrated Reservoir Management and Data Science and Engineering Analytics technical sections have received the 2026 Technical Section Excellence Award. This prestigious recognition is the second-highest honor awarded to an SPE technical section and recognizes the sections' outstanding work and strong programming. Thank you for your continued commitment to SPE's mission and service to its members.

This year, SPE introduced three new Technical Section Honorable Mention Awards to recognize excellence in three special categories. The categories and recipients are:

Technical Knowledge Sharing: Hydraulic Fracturing Technical Section

Member Benefits: Geothermal Technical Section

Collaboration: Sustainable Development Technical Section
