With the outlook for the oil and gas industry very much unsettled, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) will offer global energy professionals a world-leading forum for obtaining the in-depth knowledge of scientific and technological advances and innovations to meet today's challenges.

The OTC 2016 Spotlight on New Technology awards recognize innovative technologies and allows for companies to show the latest advances in offshore exploration and production.

Each year, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) confers its highest honors and awards on members whose outstanding contributions to SPE and the petroleum industry merit special recognition.

The annual OTC awards program recognizes 15 innovative technologies and showcases the latest advances in offshore exploration and production.

Gene Kouba was recognized with the Projects, Facilities and Construction award during ATCE.

OTC recognized three figures who have contributed to facilities engineering: Dendy Sloan, Jim Brill, and Ken Arnold. They were recognized with the Distinguished Achievement Awards for their technical and leadership contributions to the industry.

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) will present its 2013 Distinguished Achievement Awards on 5 May at the Annual OTC Dinner to Ken Arnold, senior technical adviser at WorleyParsons, for individual achievement, and to Total Exploration and Production for corporate achievement.

Shell’s Parque das Conchas project, an ultradeepwater heavy-oil development in the northern Campos basin offshore Brazil, has won the IPTC Excellence in Project Integration Award. The award recognizes significant and unique achievements in managing and directing a project from discovery to delivery.
