SPE is accepting nominations for its annual awards, including international and regional Health, Safety, and Environment awards and Sustainability and Stewardship awards. The deadline for international award nominations is 15 February, and the deadline for regional award nominations is 1 March.

Charles Bare, 1979 SPE President and an Honorary Member of the Society, died 25 October. He was 88.

I begin this column by saying that after attending several recent SPE events filled with students and professionals, all virtual of course, that I have seen the very best of us as members of SPE. To a person, you all have been nothing short of inspiring.
