Young professionals (YPs) are driving innovation and impact across the energy industry. We see their contributions every day—in our workplaces, professional networks, and communities.
To recognize and celebrate these rising leaders, the TWA Editorial Board launched the “TWA Energy Influencers: Young Professionals Who Energize Our Industry” initiative in 2020. The program highlights YPs who are shaping the future of the energy sector through their ideas, leadership, and dedication.
Selected individuals will have the opportunity to appear in an SPE Live episode and will be featured on the TWA website as the “TWA Energy Influencers 2026,” with a short biography and highlights of their achievements.
Who Are We Looking For?
YPs in the oil and gas industry (under age 35) who demonstrate excellence and integrity in their work. Nominees may also stand out through innovation, social responsibility, sustainability efforts, or a strong commitment to safety.
What is the Nomination Process?
- Identify a standout young professional making a positive impact.
- Complete a short nomination form. You’ll be asked to briefly describe the nominee’s work and why they deserve recognition.
- Submit the nomination. You may nominate a colleague, friend, client, or employee.
Nominees must be members of SPE, and self-nominations are not accepted. To ensure fairness, members of the TWA Editorial Board are not eligible for nomination.
What is the Selection Process?
The TWA Editorial Board will review all submissions, evaluating the quality and impact of each nominee’s work.

Sharing success stories is one of the most powerful ways to build momentum and highlight the role our industry plays in society. Through this initiative, we aim to showcase the work of exceptional YPs and inspire the next generation of energy leaders.
