The SPE Young Professionals Committee announced it has selected seven young professionals to represent SPE at the 2026 Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) Conference which will take place will take place 14–16 September 2026 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Founded in 2008, the ELA Conference fosters leadership in the engineering and scientific community. The conference is a 3-day intensive leadership training course run in collaboration with seven leading engineering societies, including SPE.
Each year, each partner society selects seven of its leading young professionals to participate in in-depth, personalized leadership training led by professional development coaches.
The 2026 SPE attendees include

- Bebenimibo Ebifagha Blessing, senior reservoir engineer, NNPC Ltd.

- Reinel Echavez Marquez, scientific assistant, Clausthal University of Technology
- Chineye Ezechi, engineering (energy) research advisor, Elitar Consulting Ltd.
- Divya Shah, CCUS consultant, Wood
- Homayra Tavares, business development manager, PetroReconcavo
