Wally Georgie
Production and Process Engineering SpecialistWally Georgie, SPE, is a production and process engineering specialist with more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His expertise spans oil and gas operations, production processing, separation technologies, fluid handling, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, flow assurance, and asset integrity. He began his career in the North Sea, including 12 years supporting Statoil (now Equinor) operations in the Norwegian sector, and has since spent more than 2 decades working on projects and operations worldwide.
Georgie is widely recognized for his expertise in oil/water separation, produced-water treatment and management, water-injection systems, sand and solids management, gas processing and treatment, flow assurance, corrosion and integrity management, sour production, and production chemistry. He has also been extensively involved in operations assurance and process design reviews for both greenfield and brownfield developments.
He holds a PhD in applied chemistry and technology from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc in polymer technology from Loughborough University, and an MSc in safety engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
