SPE’s Asset Management Technical Section has announced registration is open for a first-of-its-kind symposium, "Powering the Future of Energy," which will bring together chief economists from major energy companies and Dallas Federal Reserve Bank leaders to discuss the future of energy. The event will be held 14 January 2026 in Houston and will feature its inaugural Energython, “Molecule to Megabyte." This competition invites next-generation innovators, including students, to tackle a strategic business case challenge focused on gas-to-data-center solutions.

The symposium will feature eight panel sessions that explore global energy markets, the evolution of US oil and gas, and the emerging pathways transforming energy and power. 2024 SPE President Terry Palisch will deliver the luncheon keynote moderated by SPE Asset Management Technical Section Chair Hitesh Mohan.
