The first interdisciplinary oil and gas conference to be held in Saudi Arabia, the 12th International Petroleum Technology Conference, was the largest in its history in attendance. This features highlights of the panel and technical sessions, and an interview with Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser.

The approval clears the way for final investment decision on the offshore project, which includes a standalone FPSO expected to have a production capacity of 100,000 B/D. First oil is targeted for 2023.

Australia's largest independent has commissioned production from its $1.9 billion offshore project. Greater Enfield is expected to produce 41 MMboe for Woodside, contributing to its targeted annual production of 100 MMboe next year.

The $30.5-billion project is expected to produce 18 mtpa of LNG once it starts up; commissioning is expected sometime in the mid-2020s. Canada’s investment includes $160 million to fund energy-efficient turbines, which the government says will minimize greenhouse gas emissions.

Woodside has invested in Sapien Cyber, a Western Australian company specializing in the protection and security of critical infrastructure.

The 15-year agreement will send gas from the Pluto LNG facility to a mineral sands project in Western Australia. The joint venture will own and operate a road tanker fleet to transport the LNG.
